]]> Last week we showed you how to get Windows 7 running on your Mac, but iTunes won’t be able to sync your shuffle. This is a solution both for those with Windows 7 installed on Mac and PC. To fix the problem you will have to work through the following steps.

  1. If your Shuffle is connected to your Mac/PC then disconnect it, close iTunes.
  2. Close ”ITunesHelper.exe” in the windows task manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL).
  3. Download Sharepod
  4. Reconnect the iPod Shuffle and start Sharepod, you should now be able to see your iPod.
  5. With Sharepod still open start iTunes.
  6. Your iPod should be visible in iTunes, select options and uncheck iTunes autostart, check hard drive usage.
  7. Accept changes and close iTunes, do not eject your iPod using the iTunes interface.
  8. Close Sharepod and disconnect your Shuffle before you restart you Mac/PC.

Thats it your iTunes will now be able to place all your podcasts and music on your shuffle just like normal. You will no longer need Sharepod so feel free to uninstall it.

]]> A boy with an iPod surgically inserted into his arm has suffered terrible injuries when it overheated in the Humid Sydney Summer.

Just kidding the story is in fact a lot less about iPod’s and a lot more about a nine year old Sydney kid walking through a glass door.

The story doesn’t mention what model the iPod was if it had video that he was possibly watching. He is now thankfully in a stable condition :>.

Although we are still a bit puzzled what this has to do with a mutant iPod Boy maybe it’s a new ad campaign “Can’t remember where your glass door is? there’s an app for that“ or maybe they meant Mutant drug dealing rapper?

]]> Announced by Steve Jobs the anticipated new iPod Nano will include a video camera, Mic and speaker. You can apply 15 included effects on the fly and will be shooting in 640×480 pixels VGA.

You will also be able to tune into FM radio and count your steps with included pedometer functionality.

It will be shipping in 8GB and 16GB flavors, which seem a tad small to us but they did have to fit everything in a very small package.

]]> For anyone who enjoys a good game on the go, Firemint’s Real Racing is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. The people at Firemint are behind mobile games such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted, The Fast and the Furious: Fugitive and FIA World Rally Championships.

This game has been praised for it’s attention to detail and ability to act as a simulator. It features 36 cars, 12 tracks and five different game modes. Steering is controlled depending on preference, via tilt or touch. Other than the cool graphics it can also show up to six cars on the screen at once. Another great feature is the ability to interact with other players by posting playbacks directly on YouTube from the phone.

It allows you to access up to 150,000 educational resources made available by various institutions like MIT, Stanford, Duke, and many more. iTunes U is now available to download directly to your iPod touch and iPhone.
